I’m in the process of moving my concert list to a google calendar, which will allow for easier updating. This is what I’ve got so far.
Whitney Houston's Death To Earn Dolly Parton A... →
I don’t think Whitney Houston’s music was getting as much airplay as Michael Jackson’s before their perspective deaths. Seems like the best thing she could’ve done for her career was to die and that’s a really sad thought based on how prolific her career was. Too bad she didn’t write any of her songs.

I hate digital only music and iTunes. If I do buy digital, which is rare, I go through Amazon. In my mind, Amazon is the lesser of the two evils.

The Silent Comedy - Gasoline
I heard this song recently and I really enjoyed it. I generally like acoustic more and electric, but I couldn’t decide which I liked more. Below you’ll find a version of both.

Rock By the Sea 6
This April I will be flying down to Florida to take part in @RockByTheSea for my first time. This year marks the 6th annual Rock By the Sea, which converges music and supporting charities. This year’s charities can be found here. From their website:
One voice, one community, one force against a disease that touches us all. That was the driving inspiration that led to the formation of Rock...

I’m not a fan of Nickleback but this is clever of them. There is a lot of truth in “When people don’t care is when you’re in trouble”.

STREAM OUR NEW ALBUM "INVICTA"
I’m a fan of HTL and although this is a departure of the traditional pop/punk sound, I’m loving it.

The Chieftains and Bon Iver: "Down in the Willow... →
I am not on the Bon Iver bandwagon. I haven’t listened much to them/him, but the little I’ve heard doesn’t hold my interest. The fact that he’s an “it” artist doesn’t make me want to listen to him anymore either.
When I heard that The Chieftains had Justin Vernon, the front man of Bon Iver, sing one of their songs, I wasn’t excited. After I giving...

Jon, Ry & Sarah and the Merging of Their Voices
I’m not a big fan of Sara Bareilles’ voice. There are 2 songs where she is featured, and although I still don’t like her voice, her harmonizing and the melding of her voice is great. The songs are the recently realeased “The Summer is Over” by Jon McLaughlin and Ry Cuming’s 2010 released “Always Remember Me”.

Moves Like Jagger Glee Style
On last this week’s Glee, they covered “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5. I don’t like this song except for the whistled hook, that’s amazing. On this week’s Glee, they covered the song and I actually enjoyed it a little. Artie takes the lead with the rest of the guys, including Will, backing him up.

The Wonder Years Holiday Show
I had the privilege of seeing The Wonder Years again, this time at the new and amazing venue Union Transfer. UT is quickly becoming my favorite venues in Philly. The ticket prices are not outrageous and are sold through their box office and ticketfly online. The venue is great and the beer is reasonably prices, especially for a venue. The only issue is street parking is a little sketchy.

Illuminated by The Lumineers
I LOVE tv shows that play great music. It brings me back to the show even if the plot isn’t that great. Recently I started watching “Hart of Dixie” on The CW. This show is far from the best thing on television and some of the characters I can do without, but the heart of the show is in the right place. In the awesome tradition of The WB and now The CW, the music that accompanies...

Ticketmaster to Offer Refunds Starting in 2012 ::... →
I dislike Ticketmaster/Live Nation with a passion. I only buy from their online outlet when I absolutely have to and I’ve missed shows because they’ve sold out before I had a chance to get them from the venue. The fees they apply are outrageous, sometimes 50% of the ticket value. The last line of this article says it all; “Despite the lawsuit, Ticketmaster can still profit off of...
